Dr Gregory P Smith OAM


Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Gregory P. Smith OAM, is a passionate advocate and expert in homelessness and vulnerable populations, leveraging his lived experience to influence policy and community change. Having faced challenges such as child abuse, homelessness, and poverty, he inspires others through his work as a trusted advisor to governments and organizations.
He co-Chairs the End Street Sleeping Collaboration in NSW and has consultancy experience with international organizations. A sought-after speaker, Dr. Smith shares insights on homelessness worldwide and engages with Australian leaders on social responsibility.
As Patron of Signal Flare and co-founder of Voiceup Australia, he supports vulnerable communities. Dr. Smith remains dedicated to fostering hope and meaningful change for those in need.

Catherine H Player

Chief Operations Officer
With over twenty-five years experience, Catherine has held senior positions across diverse sectors, including business, not-for profits and education. Her extensive background reflects a versatile skillset and a proven ability to adapt and lead in varied environments.
In addition to her professional pursuits, Catherine is passionate about the arts. She is an accomplished painter, band member, and storyteller, often drawing inspiration from her creative interests to inform her work.

Mark Philips

Chair of the HAA Board
Mark has a broad background in both the business and not-for-profit sectors. His executive roles have included being Managing Director of ASX-listed Companies. Mark was influential in the formation of the End Street Sleeping Collaboration, which has as its longer-term goal to bring rough sleeping to an end.
